We all feel it, some more often than others. It could come unexpectedly or simmer for what seems like forever. It has many forms: aggression, passive aggression, depression or even disease. It is a very natural, very human emotion that must always be acknowledged. It could either be given full rein or tempered, depending on the reason and timing. I believe it is not a feeling we should judge ourselves by – we should allow ourselves to feel it in order to let it go. That’s what yoga gives us permission to do. We can feel what we need to feel without being destructive to ourselves and others. Yoga gives us the gift of awareness – of our bodies and emotions – so we can take appropriate action.

About Louie-An

Hello. My name is Louie-An and this is a record of my thoughts and observations on my own yoga practice. I am not a yoga teacher, so please view these as musings of an ardent yogini who wants to monitor her progress as a practitioner. These entries are not meant to be instructional in any way. If I do offer a few tips, please work with a certified and experienced yoga teacher before trying them out. Also, feel free to share your own experiences with me so we can learn from each other. I hope you enjoy reading the posts as much as I do writing them. Namaste.
